This summer, the Faith&Arts ministry at Christ Church will dive into two different books together.
On July 19, we will gather over Zoom to discuss the book Life in Motion, a memoir by Misty Copeland, the first Black principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre. Life in Motion is both a compelling page-turner and an inspirational story for artists of any medium.
On August 7, we will meet to discuss the book Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson, an encouraging and hopeful look at the interwoven relationship between community, calling, and artists. Andrew’s conversational and humble style of storytelling will draw you in, make you laugh, and leave you feeling buoyed up for the journey.
Both books are available at the Austin Public Library (book, ebook, and/or audio), at Amazon, and at your local bookstore, so pick up your copies soon and be ready to join us for a lively discussion on July 19 and August 7, from 7-9pm.
RSVP via the “Contact Us” page for the Zoom link, and be sure to specify which book club(s) you’d like to join.
