November 14-15, and 21-22

Faith+Arts will be hosting our ninth annual Austin Studio Tour exhibit (formerly known as EAST) at Christ Church Austin this coming November. This is a city-wide event that happens once a year, and hundreds of artists participate across the city.

The Studio Tour is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate hospitality, generosity, neighbor love, and our value for beauty. We need many volunteers to pull it off!

Below, you will find descriptions of different ways you can serve or volunteer for the Studio Tour, and links to sign up.

Greeters/Welcomers

As a greeter, yours might be the first face our visitors see! You will welcome guests, hand out brochures about our exhibition, guide people to refreshments or restrooms, etc.

Refreshments for our Visitors

We love to offer our visitors some cold sparkling water, a cookie or brownie, a cup of coffee, or other similar refreshments. This makes them feel welcome and encourages them to stay longer, talking with the artists. We get a few hundred visitors each year, so your help is a huge blessing.

Food for the Artists

Our artists are committed to being present and talking with guests from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, both weekends of the tour. But they show up even earlier so they can set up and be ready. It’s a long day, and they will need some sustenance! Help keep the artists fed and happy, so they can talk with visitors, make connections, and build relationships. This year we have 19 artists participating.

Lead an Austin Studio Tour Group

As a tour leader, you will take a small group of folks from Christ Church out into the city to visit Studio Tour stops together. No need to be an artist – anyone who wants to go or who supports the arts can lead these groups. You will get to see the work of other artists in the city and will also represent Christ Church, possibly by inviting people to our exhibit, as well (when and if appropriate). You decide the time and location that works best for you, and we’ll let the congregation know.
